At the core of the DXR8mkII is a high-output 8-inch woofer paired with a 1.75-inch compression driver, providing detailed high frequencies and controlled low-end response. The bass-reflex ABS cabinet improves low-frequency efficiency while reducing air turbulence, allowing the speaker to reproduce clean bass without distortion even at higher volume levels. Advanced DSP Processing for Clear and Controlled Sound

The integrated DSP platform uses Yamaha’s FIR-X linear-phase crossover technology to maintain accurate phase alignment between the low and high-frequency drivers. This results in a smooth, natural transition across the frequency spectrum. The rear panel includes XLR, 1/4-inch, and RCA inputs, allowing direct connection to mixers, audio interfaces, instruments, and media players. XLR thru and output connections simplify daisy-chaining and system expansion, making the speaker easy to integrate into mono, stereo, or distributed sound systems.

Versatile Mounting and Installation Options

The DXR8mkII supports floor placement, pole mounting, and flown installation. A dual-angle 35mm pole socket allows standard vertical mounting or a 7-degree downward tilt for improved audience coverage. Integrated M8 fly points enable safe suspended installation, and an optional U-bracket is available for wall-mounted applications in permanent venues.
