The Soundcraft Compact Stagebox represents a revolutionary expansion for digital live sound consoles. Designed to complement the Soundcraft Vi Series, Si Series, Vi1, and SI Compact consoles, this unit provides a highly cost-effective solution for extending the capability of your existing system, ideal for smaller setups that require a significant amount of input and output without the high cost or space demands of larger systems.

High-Density Inputs and Outputs in a Compact Form
Despite its compact 4U rack space design, the Compact Stagebox offers a rich array of I/O connections. The standard configuration includes 32 mic/line inputs and 8 line outputs alongside 8 channels of AES/EBU outputs, with the flexibility to accommodate various digital formats through its two expansion slots fitted for standard Studer D21m I/O cards. This adaptability allows it to interface seamlessly with digital formats such as CobraNet®, AVIOM A-Net®16, Ethersound, ADAT, and RockNet.

Modular and Flexible I/O Expansion
The real power of the Compact Stagebox lies in its modularity. You can enhance the input capacity by adding an optional 16 mic/line input XLR module, boosting the total inputs to 48. Outputs remain flexible with D-Type connectors via D21m cards, ensuring that the stagebox can meet diverse output requirements. Seamless Integration with Existing Equipment
Compatibility and interchangeability are at the core of the Compact Stagebox’s design. It employs the same mic/line I/O modules as the Soundcraft Vi1 console, allowing for easy swaps between the console and stagebox to suit varying I/O needs. For instance, an 8 line out/AES output card from the stagebox can be easily integrated into the Vi1 console, enhancing its output capabilities.

Robust Connectivity and Reliability
Connection to the host console is facilitated via Optical-fibre MADI, mirroring the setup used with the larger 64 Mic/line Vi6 Stagebox. This ensures robust and redundant MADI cable capability. The stagebox is equipped with twin redundant power supplies, thermostatically-controlled fan cooling, and comprehensive LED status monitoring to guarantee consistent performance under all conditions. Additionally, an 8-channel GPIO interface enhances its functionality.
