A key feature of the Solo MPA is its variable Voice control, which lets you smoothly blend between low-noise solid-state amplification and tube-driven coloration. This makes it easy to tailor the preamp response to vocals, acoustic instruments, electric guitars, or bass without changing gear or signal chains. The hand-selected 12AX7 tube adds musical harmonic content when driven, while retaining clarity at lower settings.

Tone Shaping with Tilt EQ and Sweepable Low-Cut Filter

The built-in Tilt EQ allows fast balancing of high and low frequencies using a single control, making broad tonal adjustments intuitive and musical. A sweepable low-cut filter helps remove unwanted rumble, tighten bass response, and control proximity effect when recording close-miked sources, improving clarity in both studio and live applications.

Optimized for Any Microphone Type

Variable microphone input impedance ranging from 600 ohms to 80 kilohms allows the Solo MPA to be matched precisely to dynamic, condenser, or ribbon microphones. This impedance control changes how microphones interact with the preamp, offering subtle tonal variations and improved performance. Integrated 48V phantom power ensures compatibility with professional condenser microphones.

High-Z Instrument Input and Signal Control Tools

The front-panel high-impedance instrument input allows the Solo MPA to function as a direct box for guitars and basses, automatically switching inputs when connected. Additional controls include phase reverse, a 20 dB gain boost, and independent input and output gain stages, giving full command over signal level and polarity.

Clear Metering and Reliable Rackmount Design

A VU meter with adjustable trim provides accurate visual feedback for gain staging, while the 1 RU rackmount chassis with a CNC-milled aluminum faceplate ensures durability for studio racks and mobile rigs.
