The Zoom LiveTrak L-20R is a rack-mountable digital mixer and multitrack recorder designed for live sound, band rehearsals, studio recording, podcasts, and mobile productions. Built without physical faders to save space, it delivers powerful mixing and recording capabilities in a compact form factor while maintaining hands-on control through connected iOS devices.

Flexible Input Configuration for Bands and Ensembles

The L-20R provides 16 mono input channels with XLR/TRS combo jacks and two stereo input channels, allowing you to connect microphones, instruments, keyboards, playback devices, and more. Channels 1 and 2 include Hi-Z inputs for direct connection of electric guitars and basses, while global phantom power and switchable pads support a wide range of microphones and signal levels.

Built-In Processing for Clean and Controlled Mixes

Each mono channel includes a dedicated one-knob compressor to quickly tame dynamics during live performances or recordings. A full channel strip with low-cut filter, three-band EQ, panning, and effects sends gives you detailed tonal control without slowing down workflow. The onboard effects engine provides multiple high-quality reverbs, delays, and modulation effects for live sound and monitoring.

Independent Monitor Mixes with iPad Control

The LiveTrak L-20R supports up to six independent monitor mixes, each routed to balanced 1/4-inch outputs for stage monitors or in-ear systems. Musicians can control their own monitor mixes using iPads, adjusting levels, EQ, and effects without relying on the front-of-house engineer. This system reduces onstage communication issues and speeds up soundcheck time.

Multitrack Recording to SD Card and USB Audio Interface Functionality

The integrated SD card recorder captures up to 22 tracks simultaneously, recording all input channels plus a stereo master mix at resolutions up to 24-bit / 96 kHz. Recorded files can be transferred directly to a DAW for editing and mixing. The L-20R also functions as a 22-input / 4-output USB audio interface, supporting recording directly to Mac, Windows, and iOS devices.

Designed for Rack Integration and Remote Operation

Supplied with rack ears, the L-20R mounts easily into standard equipment racks for touring rigs, installed sound systems, or studio setups. Scene memory allows you to save and recall mix configurations, making it easy to switch between bands, venues, or recording sessions. A dedicated headphone output ensures accurate monitoring for the sound engineer.
