7-Inch Aluminum Alloy Mounting Arm, Universal Clamp for Stands and Tubular Structures, Adjustable Ball Joint, Threaded Stud for Zoom Tripod-Mount Recorders, Metal Construction
The Zoom HRM-7 is a 7-inch aluminum alloy arm with a universal clamp on one end and a tripod-threaded stud on the other. It solves a specific problem that owners of Zoom V3 vocal processors, H2n handheld recorders, Q2n-4K video recorders, and other tripod-threaded Zoom products run into immediately — none of them ship with a way to mount the device onto a mic stand at performance height. The HRM-7 fills that gap with a metal arm built to hold the device in position session after session.
The clamp on one end of the HRM-7 is sized to attach to standard microphone stand uprights, music stands, music desks, podium edges, and other tubular structures common to stage and studio environments. Once the clamp is closed onto the host structure, the arm extends outward 7 inches with the recorder or processor at the end — positioned for camera framing, vocalist eye line, or convenient knob access during a session.
An adjustable ball joint sits between the clamp end and the recorder stud. Loosen the main knob, tilt and rotate the recorder to the exact angle needed, then tighten the knob firmly — the unit locks at that angle and stays there. Buyers note that the main lock knob must be tightened all the way to eliminate flop; once locked properly, the recorder holds its position through the full session with no slow drift.
The threaded stud at the working end of the arm mates with the standard tripod thread built into compatible Zoom products. That includes the Zoom V3 vocal processor (mounted to a stage mic stand so performers can reach the knobs without bending down), the H2n surround handheld recorder (mounted at mouth level for an interview), the Q2n-4K and H3-VR video recorders (mounted for a podcast or vlog camera angle), and other Zoom devices that share the same tripod thread interface.
The HRM-7 is aluminum alloy throughout — not a plastic mount with a metal screw. Plastic stand arms develop creep when they carry a device for hours and start to droop. The aluminum HRM-7 holds the original angle indefinitely and survives the road bag without cracking. For working creators who set up and tear down the same rig repeatedly, that build difference is the whole reason to buy a real recorder mount instead of a generic clamp.
