Zoom G1 FOUR Guitar Multi-Effects Processor with Amp Models and Looper

Zoom G1 FOUR: A Fly-Rig Pedalboard in One Small Box

The Zoom G1 FOUR is a guitar multi-effects processor that folds more than 60 effects and 13 amp models into a stompbox light enough to carry on a plane. Up to five effects chain in any order, so one pedal delivers a clean verse, a crunchy chorus, and a soaring lead across a single song. Fifty memory patches store those chains for instant footswitch recall on stage. For the gigging guitarist building a fly-rig, it replaces an amp, a board, and a tuner with a box that fits in a backpack.

Amps and Effects for Every Part of a Set

Thirteen amp models span sparkling cleans to high-gain lead tones, and the effect set adds overdrive, distortion, delay, reverb, modulation, and stranger colors like a ring modulator and a sitar simulation. Chaining up to five at once lets a guitarist stack an overdrive into a delay into a hall reverb in one patch. Because everything is preset and footswitchable, a complex rig behaves like a simple one on stage. That keeps the focus on playing rather than tap-dancing across pedals.

A Practice Partner That Travels

A built-in 30-second looper lets a player lay a rhythm part and solo over it, and 68 rhythm patterns supply a drummer to lock into. The chromatic tuner keeps tunings honest between songs without another pedal on the floor. For the bedroom player, that trio turns nightly practice into something structured and musical. Ideas sketched at home carry straight to the stage in the same patches.

Record Direct and Grow the Library

Over USB the G1 FOUR is an audio interface that records guitar with its amp models and effects already applied. Zoom Guitar Lab manages patches, backs them up, and pulls new effects from the online library. Four AA batteries give up to 18 hours of runtime with the backlight off, and USB bus power or the AD-16 adapter cover desk use. That range makes it a first pedal, a practice rig, and a working guitarist's backup all at once.
