Rode MiCon-4 Features:

  • SCREW-LOCKING 4-PIN: Terminates a MiCon microphone in a screw-down 4-pin connector for compatible bodypack transmitters
  • ONE MIC, MANY PACKS: Adapts a single MiCon-equipped RODE mic to select professional wireless transmitter systems
  • THREADS DOWN TIGHT: The screw-locking design resists vibration and pull so the connection holds on the move
  • CLICK-ON SWAP: Fits the microphone's MiCon connector in seconds with no soldering
  • SIGNAL STAYS INTACT: Passes the microphone's full wiring and audio through unchanged
  • SYSTEM FLEXIBILITY: Change to another MiCon connector later to move the same mic to a different rig

Rode MiCon-4: Fit a MiCon Microphone to a Screw-Locking 4-Pin Bodypack

The Rode MiCon-4 is a click-on MiCon connector adapter that terminates a MiCon-equipped RODE microphone in a screw-locking 4-pin connector. It adapts the HS1 headset, PinMic, or Lavalier to select professional wireless bodypack transmitters that use a threaded 4-pin input. When your wireless system relies on a screw-down connector for security, the MiCon-4 is the piece that lets the microphone you already own thread into it.

How the MiCon Connector System Works

RODE's MiCon system keeps the microphone and the connector separate, so a single mic is never trapped by the plug on the end of it. Every MiCon microphone ends in a standardized MiCon connector, and a family of small adapters clicks on to present the exact output a device needs. Fit one adapter for one wireless system, swap it for another when the job changes, and the same microphone keeps working across all of them. The MiCon-4 is the connector that presents a screw-locking 4-pin plug.

Why a Screw-Locking Connector Earns Its Keep

Some professional bodypacks are designed around a threaded connector precisely because it will not shake loose, and pairing them with a non-locking adapter throws that reliability away. The MiCon-4 threads down onto a compatible transmitter so the connection resists vibration, tugging, and the movement of live performance. As with every MiCon connector, the adapter passes the microphone's full signal and wiring through untouched, so you gain mechanical security without changing the sound.

Who the MiCon-4 Is For

It is for the theater, presentation, or live-event professional running a RODE MiCon microphone on a wireless system that uses a screw-locking 4-pin bodypack input. Fit the MiCon-4 and your mic threads in securely, with the option to re-adapt it for a different system later.
