Radial EXTC-Stereo Features:

  • RUN STEREO PEDALS IN YOUR MIX connects stereo effects pedals such as reverbs, delays, and modulation to the line-level inputs and outputs of your console or interface
  • TWO INDEPENDENT CHANNELS a true 2-channel design carries a full stereo pair, preserving the width and image of stereo effects from send to return
  • CLASS-A BUFFERED CIRCUIT a proprietary active circuit with class-A buffers delivers a wide dynamic range above 130 dBu and a noise floor down at -105 dBu
  • TRS/XLR COMBO INPUTS versatile combo jacks accept balanced TRS or XLR sources, while dedicated 1/4-inch insert jacks connect your pedalboard
  • SEND & RECEIVE CONTROLS independent send and receive level controls optimize gain staging into and out of your pedals for a clean, controlled path
  • TWO MONO CHAINS OR ONE STEREO PAIR run a stereo pedal across both channels, or patch two separate mono pedal chains to the left and right inserts at once
  • REAMP THROUGH PEDALS OR AMPS feed prerecorded tracks back through your pedals, or use the sends to drive one or two guitar amplifiers for miked Reamping
  • ROAD-READY STEEL CHASSIS a 14-gauge steel enclosure keeps this creative studio tool protected session after session

Radial EXTC-Stereo: Two Channels of Pedal Character for Your Mix

The Radial EXTC-Stereo is a two-channel guitar effects interface and Reamper that connects stereo effects pedals to the balanced, line-level inputs and outputs of a console or recording interface. It translates a hot line signal down to the instrument level your pedals expect, carries a full stereo pair through the effects, and lifts the processed return back to balanced line level for recording. Stereo reverbs, delays, and modulation pedals that once lived only on a pedalboard become mixing tools you can throw across drum overheads, keys, vocals, or any track that needs to bloom in stereo.

Why Stereo Changes the Effects Game

A mono effects insert can only ever push a sound down the center, but so much of what makes a modern mix feel wide and alive lives in stereo: ping-pong delays, lush stereo reverbs, and swirling stereo choruses that move across the field. The EXTC-Stereo preserves that image because it treats the left and right sides as two matched channels from input to return, so the stereo motion your pedals create arrives at the recorder intact. Send a pair of drum overheads to a stereo multi-tap delay, or breathe new life into a stale keyboard patch with a stereo flanger, and the width comes through exactly as the pedal intended.

An Active Class-A Circuit Built for Clean Gain

Under the hood, the EXTC-Stereo runs a proprietary active circuit with class-A buffers rather than a simple passive transformer pass, and the numbers show why that matters for a stereo signal. It posts a dynamic range greater than 130 dBu, a noise floor down at -105 dBu, and total harmonic distortion of just 0.007 percent at 0 dBu, with a frequency response flat within half a decibel from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. That means the box adds width and pedal character without adding hiss or smearing the transients, so a delicate stereo reverb tail stays quiet and detailed all the way to the recorder.

Combo Inputs and Dedicated Insert Jacks

Connectivity is built for a real studio patchbay. Each channel offers a 1/4-inch TRS and XLR combo input plus a matching balanced output, so the EXTC-Stereo drops into a console insert or an interface loop without adapters. Dedicated 1/4-inch TS insert send and receive jacks connect your pedalboard, keeping the pedal path separate and tidy. With a 17-kilohm balanced input and a 150-ohm balanced output, it interfaces cleanly with professional gear, while the high-impedance receive input is optimized to sit gently after your effects.

Two Mono Chains or One Stereo Pair

The two-channel architecture gives you flexibility no mono interface can match. Patch a true stereo pedal across both channels and it stays in stereo end to end. Or treat the channels independently and connect two entirely separate mono pedal chains, one to the left insert and one to the right, doubling your creative options in a single pass. Independent send and receive controls on each side let you set the drive into your pedals and the level coming back with precision, so each chain hits its sweet spot.

Reamping, Amps, and Direct Recording

Like every Radial Reamp box, the EXTC-Stereo excels at sending prerecorded tracks back out through your effects so you can shape tone after the performance is safely captured. But its flexibility runs further: use the send jacks to drive one or two guitar amplifiers and capture the results with microphones, or plug your instrument and pedalboard straight into the receive jacks to record a processed performance direct to the line-level inputs of your interface. One box covers reamping through pedals, reamping through amps, and direct pedalboard recording.

Who the EXTC-Stereo Is For

The EXTC-Stereo is for the mixing engineer who wants real stereo pedals shaping overheads, synths, and vocals instead of another plug-in, the producer who reamps in stereo to finalize tone after tracking, and the guitarist who records a wet-dry-wet rig direct through a pedalboard. If your creativity lives in stereo effects and you record to a console or interface, the EXTC-Stereo is the interface that lets those pedals paint across the full width of your mix.
