Neumann SG 5: The Swivel Joint That Aims a Broadcast Mic
The Neumann SG 5 is a swivel joint for the BCM 104 and BCM 705 broadcast microphones, with a 3/8" male thread on the microphone side and a 5/8"-27 female thread on the stand side. It sits between a mic and its stand or broadcast arm and pivots, letting the presenter drop the capsule to mouth height and angle it without repositioning the whole boom. An included thread adapter connects the joint to 1/2" and 3/8" stands, so it fits whatever hardware the on-air position already runs. It ships in black to match the broadcast microphones it serves.
