Neumann KH 120 II AES67 Features:

  • WHITE NETWORKED MONITOR — a white cabinet with redundant AES67 audio-over-IP for facilities that want both a clean look and network audio.
  • REDUNDANT AES67 PORTS — dual network ports support ST 2110, ST 2022-7 seamless redundancy, and RAVENNA, with Dante-compatible AES67 streaming.
  • COMPACT TWO-WAY ENGINE — a 5.25-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter, bi-amplified at 145 and 100 watts, reproduce reference sound down to 44 hertz.
  • DSP ROOM ALIGNMENT — a phase-linear crossover and Neumann MA 1 correction adapt the monitor to the room.
  • ANALOG AND S/PDIF INPUTS — balanced XLR and coaxial S/PDIF connections remain for hybrid and fallback routing.
  • MMD WAVEGUIDE — controlled dispersion keeps the balance even across the listening area.

Neumann KH 120 II AES67: Networked Reference in White

The Neumann KH 120 II AES67 in white is a compact two-way networked active studio monitor, pairing redundant AES67 audio-over-IP with a light cabinet finish. It is the same platform as the anthracite AES67 model, a 5.25-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter with bi-amplified 145-watt and 100-watt Class D power, only dressed in white. For an on-camera broadcast set or a bright IP control room, it delivers network monitoring without a dark box in the shot. Audio arrives over a single network cable rather than a run of analog snakes. Nothing about the sound changes with the color.

A Compact Two-Way Engine

The 5.25-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter reproduce reference sound down to 44 hertz from a footprint that fits a shallow desk. Bi-amplified Class D stages of 145 and 100 watts drive each driver directly, giving transients headroom while the monitor idles low. A phase-linear FIR crossover at 1,700 hertz splits the signal with 48 dB-per-octave precision, and peaks reach 116.8 dB SPL in half space. The engine is identical across finishes and network options; only the wiring on the back and the color out front differ. It is a full reference monitor in a small white box.

Redundant AES67, One Cable

Two network ports comply with the broadcast standards ST 2110, ST 2022-7 seamless redundancy, and RAVENNA. ST 2022-7 keeps a duplicate audio stream on a second path, so a failed cable or switch never interrupts the feed. The interface also locks to Dante-generated AES67 streams, letting a white pair drop into an existing networked facility. On a camera-facing set, that means clean sightlines and broadcast-grade uptime at once. The network carries the signal to a whole room of monitors down shared infrastructure.

Analog and S/PDIF Still Onboard

The network ports do not remove the conventional inputs. A balanced XLR analog input and a coaxial S/PDIF input remain for hybrid and fallback routing. That lets the monitor take a direct feed from an interface or console even in a networked room, and keeps a signal path alive during an IP migration. Engineers building a bright, camera-ready plant can run both analog and networked sources at will. The flexible I/O suits a facility in transition as well as one fully on IP.

DSP Alignment and Controlled Dispersion

Onboard DSP drives the phase-linear crossover and, through Neumann's MA 1 system, corrects the monitor to the room. A measurement microphone maps the response at the listening position and loads a correction that flattens the room's contribution. An MMD waveguide keeps the balance even across a wide listening area, taming the early reflections common in hard, bright rooms. Together they hold the sound consistent whether the set is treated or not. Alignment makes the room a controlled part of the system.

For the Camera-Ready IP Room

This monitor is built for on-camera broadcast sets, networked and IP control rooms, and immersive rigs distributed over AES67. Its white cabinet suits bright studios and video spaces where the gear is meant to be seen, while the network ports serve facilities running audio as IP traffic. In post-production and multi-room setups, many of these share one network for consistent monitoring everywhere. For a broadcast team that wants both clean sightlines and redundant networking, it delivers both in a compact package. It is the small, camera-friendly end of a networked monitoring chain.
