Neumann EA 4 BK: Black Suspension for the TLM 102
The Neumann EA 4 BK is a black elastic suspension shock mount for the compact TLM 102 and the body-matched TLM 107 and TLM 103, delivering the isolation of the nickel EA 4 in a finish for black-bodied mics. A spider of rubber bands suspends the microphone off the stand, decoupling it so footsteps, floor rumble, and building vibration stay out of the capsule. The black finish matches a TLM 102 BK or TLM 107 BK and doubles as the alternate mount for the matte TLM 103 MT. Under lighting and on camera, the hardware stays out of the way.
Set and Secured
A swiveling yoke tilts the microphone to the performer and locks the angle in the suspension. The 5/8-inch-27 female thread mounts to studio booms and stands, and the supplied adapter drops it to 1/2-inch and 3/8-inch studs. The mic loads in seconds. Once positioned, the EA 4 BK holds its aim through the take.
Black or Nickel
Reach for the EA 4 BK for a black TLM 102 BK, TLM 107 BK, or matte TLM 103 MT. The nickel EA 4 matches silver-bodied mics. Larger Neumann bodies use the EA 87 for the U 87 Ai or the EA 170 for the TLM 170 R.
