Neumann EA 2124 A Features:

Neumann EA 2124 A: Suspension for the Small-Diaphragm KM Series
The Neumann EA 2124 A is an elastic suspension shock mount for Neumann's small-diaphragm microphones, cradling any body from 21 to 24 millimeters in diameter. That range covers the KM 180 Series, including the cardioid KM 184, hypercardioid KM 185, and omnidirectional KM 183, as well as the older KM 100 and KM 80 Series. Spider-style rubber bands decouple the pencil mic from the stand, so footfalls, boom vibration, and floor rumble stay out of drum overheads, acoustic guitar tracks, and room pairs. On tightly placed pencil mics, that mechanical isolation protects fast transients from stand-borne thumps.
Built for Cramped Placements
A swivel mount tilts the microphone onto a hi-hat, over a snare, or into a string section and locks the angle where space is tight. The 5/8-inch-27 female thread mounts to studio stands and booms, and the supplied adapter steps down to 1/2-inch and 3/8-inch studs. The small clamp seats the mic quickly and releases without tools. The compact frame stays clear of neighboring mics on a crowded stage.
Where the EA 2124 A Fits
Reach for the EA 2124 A whenever a Neumann KM 184, KM 185, or KM 183 needs proper suspension for overheads, orchestral, or acoustic work in black. Large-diaphragm bodies belong in the larger EA mounts, such as the EA 1 for the TLM 103 or the EA 87 for the U 87 Ai. For the KM Series, this is the dedicated shock mount.
