Neumann EA 2: Floating Suspension for the TLM 49
The Neumann EA 2 is an elastic suspension shock mount built for the TLM 49 vocal condenser and the digital Solution-D D-01, cradling each in a spider of rubber bands. That suspension decouples the microphone from the stand, so footsteps, floor rumble, and knocks against the desk or boom never reach the large-diaphragm capsule as low-frequency thumps. On a mic voiced for intimate lead vocals, keeping the stand silent is essential to a usable take. The cradle is sized precisely to the TLM 49 and D-01 body.
Aim It at the Singer
A swiveling yoke tilts the microphone down to a seated vocalist or up to a standing performer and locks the angle in the suspension. The base carries a 5/8-inch-27 female thread for studio stands and booms, with a supplied adapter for 1/2-inch and 3/8-inch studs. The mic seats and releases quickly between sessions. Once set, the EA 2 holds the vocal position without slipping.
Nickel or Matte Black
Choose the nickel EA 2 for a nickel TLM 49 or a Solution-D rig in the vocal booth. The EA 2 mt delivers the same isolation in matte black for lit rooms and on-camera work. For the smaller TLM 102, TLM 103, and TLM 107, the EA 4 is the matching mount.
