Lewitt GN35X Features:

  • SINGLE-BEND GOOSENECK BASE: 13.8 in (350 mm) flexible module that mounts a Lewitt conference capsule
  • CAPSULE SOLD SEPARATELY: Threads onto a Lewitt S6 or S10 shotgun capsule to form a complete gooseneck mic
  • RUGGED ALL-METAL BUILD: Flexes to your angle and then holds it through long services and full days of meetings
  • BALANCED XLR OUTPUT: Standard 3-pin XLR (male) base drops into any mixer, DSP, or installed AV input
  • PHANTOM POWERED: Carries 48V phantom up to the fitted capsule — no separate power supply needed
  • LOW HANDLING NOISE: Rigid, well-damped arm passes minimal structure-borne noise from bumped podiums or tables
  • PATTERN SET BY CAPSULE: Final polar pattern and frequency response are determined by the S6 or S10 you fit
  • BUILT FOR INSTALLS: Ideal for lecterns, boardrooms, houses of worship, courtrooms, and council chambers

Lewitt GN35X: The Flexible Gooseneck Base for a Modular Conference Microphone

The Lewitt GN35X is a single-bend gooseneck microphone base, a 13.8-inch (350 mm) module that mounts a Lewitt conference capsule to a podium, lectern, or table. It is not a complete microphone on its own — it is the rugged, all-metal flexible arm and balanced XLR base onto which a Lewitt S6 or S10 shotgun capsule threads to form a finished gooseneck conference mic. Bend it once to aim the capsule exactly where a speaker's voice lives, and it holds that angle through meeting after meeting and service after service. It is the quiet, dependable half of a microphone you set once and forget, engineered to disappear into the furniture and let the voice do the work. (Note: a Lewitt S6 or S10 capsule is required and sold separately.)

How a Modular Gooseneck Conference System Works

A gooseneck conference microphone is really two parts doing two jobs. The gooseneck — the GN35X — is the flexible mount and the electrical base: it clamps or mounts to the surface, flexes to position the capsule, and carries the audio signal and the 48V phantom power down to a balanced 3-pin XLR (male) output at its foot. The capsule — the Lewitt S6 or S10 that threads onto the top — is the transducer, the part that actually turns sound into signal, and it is chosen for its polar pattern and reach. Splitting the microphone this way means the pattern and the frequency response of your finished mic are set by the capsule you fit, while the GN35X handles the mounting and the connection. Buy the base once, then match the capsule to the room.

Why a Gooseneck That Bends and Then Holds Matters

In an installed system, positioning is everything and drift is the enemy. A speaker steps up to a lectern, and the capsule needs to sit inches from their mouth, angled to reject the room and favor the voice — then stay exactly there for the next talker, and the next, without a technician re-aiming it. The GN35X is built for precisely that: its all-metal gooseneck flexes smoothly to the angle you want and then locks that shape in place, so it will not sag or creep over a long service or a full day of meetings. Because it is rigid and well-damped, it also passes very little handling and structure-borne noise from a bumped table or podium up into the capsule. Set the angle at install, and the microphone keeps aiming where you left it.

Where the GN35X Belongs

The GN35X is made for speech in permanent and semi-permanent installs. Fit it with the right capsule and it serves lecterns and pulpits, boardroom and conference tables, houses of worship, courtrooms, council chambers, and podium speech of every kind. Anywhere a person stands or sits to address a room — and the microphone needs to be there, aimed, and invisible — the gooseneck is the mount that puts the capsule in the sweet spot and keeps it there. In integrated AV systems it drops straight into a balanced XLR input, so the same base that suits a church podium suits a courtroom bench or a city-council dais.

Who the GN35X Is For

The GN35X is for the integrator, house-of-worship tech, or facilities team building a clean, reliable speech system around Lewitt conference capsules. If you already run — or plan to run — a Lewitt S6 or S10 capsule, this is the 13.8-inch gooseneck base that gives it a flexible, hold-its-angle home and a standard XLR connection to your mixer or DSP. Pair it with its shorter sibling the GN15X or the dual-bend GN35X2 to match every position in the room, and you have a modular conference microphone system that installs once and simply works.
