Heritage Audio Symph EQ Plug-in: Modern Mastering EQ with Vintage Charm
The Heritage Audio Symph EQ Plug-in brings the iconic sound of vintage British equalizers into your DAW with modern precision and flexibility. A digital emulation of the classic Baxandall EQ design, this plug-in offers a musical, open, and natural sound that sweetens everything it touches. Featuring pristine emulations of the Carnhill Oxford input and the Carnhill St. Ives output transformers, the Symph EQ is perfect for mixing and mastering tasks. Whether you're tightening up your drum bus, enhancing vocals, or widening a stereo image, the Symph EQ provides control over high and low frequencies while preserving the integrity of your sound.

Precision and Control with Asymptotic Shelving Curves
The Symph EQ’s Stereo Asymptotic Equalizer design uses shelf curves that grow in amplitude until they reach the asymptotic value, providing tight control over extreme highs and lows. This unique curve shape ensures that your ultra-low and ultra-high frequencies remain well-controlled, preventing muddiness in the low end and harshness in the high end. The result is a clean and musical EQ that enhances the tonal balance of your tracks without introducing unwanted artifacts, making it ideal for both individual instrument processing and full-mix mastering.

M-S Processing for Advanced Stereo Imaging
Mid-Side (M-S) processing is one of the standout features of the Symph EQ, giving you the ability to treat the center and sides of your mix separately. This makes it possible to fine-tune your center image, tighten up elements like kick and snare drums, and add focus to your vocals. Additionally, M-S processing allows for widening the stereo image of instruments like piano or guitar, without affecting the center elements. Whether you're working with an entire mix or focusing on specific elements, M-S processing gives you the precision needed to create a well-balanced, immersive sound.

High and Low Frequency Shelving for Maximum Precision
The Symph EQ provides selectable high-frequency shelving options at 8kHz, 10kHz, 12kHz, 15kHz, 20kHz, and 24kHz, allowing you to fine-tune the top end of your mix with incredible accuracy. On the low end, you can choose from shelving frequencies at 20Hz, 60Hz, 110Hz, 220Hz, 360Hz, and 470Hz to shape your bass frequencies with ease. Whether you’re looking to add sparkle and air to your mix or tighten up the low end for clarity and punch, the Symph EQ gives you the flexibility to shape your sound just the way you want it.

Versatile Filters and Transparent Sound
To further enhance your ability to clean up and shape your sound, the Symph EQ includes highpass and lowpass filters with steep 12dB/octave slopes. The highpass filter is selectable at 15Hz, 20Hz, 47Hz, 82Hz, and 160Hz in -3dB increments, and the lowpass filter is selectable at 10kHz, 12kHz, 18kHz, 22kHz, and 30kHz, also in -3dB increments. These filters give you the ability to easily remove unwanted low-end rumble or tame excessive high frequencies, ensuring that your mix remains clean and controlled without losing any musicality.
