Genelec 9401A System Management Device

Seamless Integration of Audio-over-IP with Genelec Smart Active Monitors
The Genelec 9401A System Management Device enables audio professionals to integrate Smart Active Monitors and Subwoofers (SAM™) into Audio-over-IP (AoIP) networks. It converts ST2110, AES67, and Ravenna streams into AES/EBU outputs, providing 16 channels of digital audio via a DB25 connector for direct input into Genelec SAM systems. ​

Support for Immersive Audio Formats
Designed to accommodate various audio formats, the 9401A supports configurations from stereo up to 9.1.6. For larger setups, multiple units can be combined to handle formats like 22.2, offering flexibility for expansive immersive audio environments.

Dedicated Outputs for Subwoofers and Auxiliary Monitoring
The device includes a dedicated subwoofer output and an auxiliary stereo output, facilitating easy chaining of Smart Active Subwoofers to enhance low-frequency performance. The auxiliary output is suitable for headphone feeds, enabling binaural and secondary stereo loudspeaker monitoring. ​

Seamless Integration with Genelec Loudspeaker Manager Software
Integration with Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM™) software allows for comprehensive system calibration, including subwoofer alignment and bass management. This ensures optimal performance tailored to the specific acoustic environment. 

High-Resolution Audio Support
The 9401A supports sampling rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz with 16-, 24-, or 32-bit resolution per sample, ensuring high-quality audio reproduction suitable for professional applications. ​

Compact and Efficient Design
Housed in a 1U rack-mountable enclosure, the 9401A is designed for efficient use of space. It features Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) technology to reduce power consumption during periods of inactivity, aligning with energy-efficient operational practices.
