Unlike push-to-talk systems, Comstar intercoms offer simultaneous two-way communication, allowing users to speak freely and listen in real-time—just like a phone conversation. The DECT-based wireless system operates on a 1900 MHz band reserved for voice communication, ensuring minimal interference and crystal-clear audio. With up to 400 yards of wireless range in any direction from the Com-Center, teams can move freely without losing signal.

Com-Center Base Provides Centralized Control
The heart of the XT-3 system is the dual-channel Com-Center. It can support up to eight users in two separate groups or switch to conference mode for all-inclusive communication. LEDs indicate channel activity so users always know which group is active. The Com-Center includes a rechargeable battery, AA battery sled, and AC wall plug, giving you multiple power options whether you're in the field or working indoors.

Lightweight Headsets Built For Long Shifts
The XT-3 includes two single-ear and one dual-ear COMSTAR headsets, each weighing only 12 oz. With padded headbands, cushioned earpieces, and adjustable boom microphones, they are engineered for comfort during extended wear. Microphones can be positioned on either side, and each headset includes an onboard mic mute button and volume control. Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries provide up to 10 hours of operation per charge.
