The Decimator MC-DMON-QUAD is a four-channel 3G-SDI multiviewer module designed for integration into OpenGear frames. Built to handle a wide range of professional video workflows, this card accepts four independent 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs, each capable of receiving signals up to 1080p60. With support for mixed formats, frame rates, and aspect ratios, the MC-DMON-QUAD makes it easy to monitor and manage diverse video sources on a single screen with fully customizable layouts.

Supports Mixed Formats and Aspect Ratios Without Sync Requirements
Each input on the MC-DMON-QUAD features automatic format detection and operates independently, meaning you can feed the module multiple sources with different data rates, resolutions, and aspect ratios simultaneously. A built-in low-latency frame buffer ensures all sources can be displayed together—even if they’re not synchronized—making it an ideal solution for real-time video monitoring in broadcast control rooms, production trucks, or live event systems.

Multiple Display Modes and Custom Layout Options
The MC-DMON-QUAD can operate as a 1-to-4 multiviewer or a 4-to-1 multiplexer, offering exceptional flexibility in display configurations. You can choose from standard multiviewer layouts or build custom screen divisions, adjusting window sizes, positions, and overlays. Each window supports an independently positioned UMD (Under Monitor Display) with up to 16 customizable characters. Tally information can be shown using tally boxes or border elements, and each quadrant can be tailored to show as much or as little data as you need.

8-Channel Audio Metering with Visual Customization
This module doesn’t stop at video—each input supports eight channels of embedded audio metering, which can be shown with adjustable overlays in each window. The on-screen display includes visual audio level meters as well as channel ID tags. With full control over position and scale, you can design your monitoring screen to meet your team’s visual preferences and technical requirements, especially in fast-paced live production environments.

Supports RS-422/485 Tally Integration and TSL Protocol
Professional tally and UMD control is enabled through RS-422/485 integration, compatible with the widely used TSL protocol. This allows dynamic tally and text data to be fed to the MC-DMON-QUAD from a switcher or automation system. With up to four tallies per input window, the card supports production workflows requiring detailed status feedback and crew communication cues. Note that tally support requires the optional DR1-10B1G rear connector module.

Seamless Integration with DashBoard Control and Firmware Updates
For remote configuration and control, the MC-DMON-QUAD supports Ross Video's openGear DashBoard software. This enables intuitive setup and monitoring from a centralized UI, simplifying deployment across large systems. A mini-USB port allows for firmware updates to ensure the unit remains compatible with evolving standards and adds new features as they become available.

Reliable and Configurable Output Options
Output from the MC-DMON-QUAD can be set to full-screen multiview mode or configured for pass-through, allowing a single selected input to route directly to both SDI outputs. This makes the card usable not only as a multiviewer but also as a routing or switching tool. With support for 3G-SDI Level A and B conversion, the MC-DMON-QUAD ensures full compatibility with a wide range of broadcast infrastructure.
