Decimator DMON-QUAD Features:

  • FOUR SDI INPUTS — accepts four independent 3G/HD/SD-SDI sources, with each input auto-detecting its own format and frame rate.
  • QUAD MULTI-VIEWER OR MULTIPLEXER — combines four sources into one quad view or works as a 4-to-1 input multiplexer, all in one box.
  • LINKED SDI AND HDMI OUTPUTS — drives an SDI monitor and an HDMI display together with linked 3G/HD/SD-SDI and HDMI outputs carrying the same view.
  • 8-CHANNEL AUDIO METERING — overlays eight channels of audio meters per window with individual enables, positioning, and size, plus 16-character UMD labels.
  • PER-WINDOW IMAGE FLIP — flips each window horizontally and/or vertically, useful for teleprompter, mirror-rig, and specialty camera monitoring.
  • RJ-45 GPI AND RS422/485 — connects tallies and remote switching over RJ-45 GPI and drives dynamic UMD and tallies via RS422/485 for automation.

Decimator DMON-QUAD: Four SDI-to-HDMI Converters and a Quad Multi-Viewer

The Decimator DMON-QUAD is a 4 x 3G/HD/SD-SDI to HDMI converter with a 1 to 4 multi-viewer, custom layouts, and 8-channel audio meters. Housed in a robust aluminium box, it merges four-camera monitoring and SDI-to-HDMI conversion into a single portable unit. A multi-viewer tiles the four feeds into one image, while the converter side turns SDI into the HDMI that ordinary displays accept. Custom layouts and per-source audio meters let an operator arrange the grid and confirm sound on each camera at a glance.

Four Inputs With 3G Level A and B

Four 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs each auto-detect their signal across 26 supported formats and support both 3G level A and level B, allowing conversion between the two levels. Level A and level B are the two mappings a 3G-SDI signal can use on the cable, and accepting both means any 3G source connects and can be translated to the level a destination expects. Low-latency buffering on every input allows non-synchronous sources, so four cameras that do not share a reference still display together.

Quad View or Multiplexer

In multi-viewer mode the unit shows all four SDI sources as a quad-split on one screen, and it can also work as a 4-to-1 input multiplexer. A multiplexer selects one of the four inputs to send on, so the same box doubles as a compact router when only one feed is wanted. Pass-through mode routes any single input to both the SDI and HDMI outputs at full screen, letting an operator inspect one camera closely and return to the quad view instantly.

Linked SDI and HDMI Outputs

The view is carried on linked 3G/HD/SD-SDI and HDMI outputs, so the same layout drives an SDI monitor and an HDMI display at the same time. Linking the outputs means both always show the identical grid, keeping a professional SDI monitor and a consumer HDMI screen in step. Output format is selectable in both multi-viewer and full-screen modes to match the connected screen.

Overlays and Per-Window Image Flip

Each window supports eight channels of audio metering, a 16-character UMD label, an audio ID, and up to four tally colours applied as tally boxes. The UMD, or under monitor display, is the name strip identifying each source, and tally boxes are the coloured markers that show a camera's on-air state. Horizontal and vertical image flipping per window makes the unit useful for teleprompter feeds, mirrored camera rigs, and other specialty monitoring.

Tally and Automation Over RJ-45

A GPI interface on an RJ-45 connector handles tallies and remote input switching, while RS422/485 on RJ-45 drives dynamic UMD and tallies for integration with a switcher or automation system. GPI, general purpose interface, is a simple contact-closure control, and delivering it plus serial data over familiar RJ-45 network-style connectors simplifies cabling. Source names and tally states can update live across the quad view.

Control, Build, and Power

An easy-to-use LCD and button system sets every option without DIP switches or a computer, and USB handles control and firmware. Setting options at the unit means changes happen in seconds on set rather than through tethered software. A robust aluminium chassis and a metal thread-locking DC socket keep the unit dependable on 5 to 32 volt DC power in flypacks and racks alike.

Who the DMON-QUAD Serves

Compact multi-camera productions use its quad view to monitor four cameras and convert them to HDMI at once. Streaming and worship teams value its audio meters, UMD, and tally integration. Rental and corporate AV crews choose it when a rugged four-input multi-viewer and converter must travel in one aluminium box.
