At the core of the URSA Cine is a newly developed 12K sensor with an RGBW pixel array, delivering native 6048 x 4032 resolution. The sensor is designed for image quality across resolutions from 4K to 12K, without cropping or compromise. Equal quantities of red, green, blue, and white pixels yield rich color performance with enhanced low-light sensitivity. Capture frame-accurate 12K with full sensor coverage or use in-sensor scaling for 4K and 8K output with minimal loss in sharpness and tonal range.

Shoot Open Gate, Anamorphic, and Classic Cinema Formats
The full-frame sensor supports a wide array of aspect ratios and delivery formats. Record in 12K 3:2 open gate for maximum flexibility in post-production, or shoot anamorphic with de-squeeze options including 1.3x to 2x. For productions using legacy lenses, Super35 4-perf, 3-perf, and 2-perf modes are built in. Maintain full lens coverage and field of view at every resolution, enabling distinctive cinematic framing regardless of lens type or project format.

Supports Interchangeable Lens Mounts for Creative Flexibility
URSA Cine includes a PL lens mount by default, but is compatible with user-swappable LPL, EF, and Hasselblad mounts. Whether you're using modern cinema glass or vintage photographic lenses, the camera reads lens metadata for focus, iris, and zoom, which can be monitored or passed to post. This interchangeable lens mount system lets you adapt the camera to nearly any production style or artistic preference without investing in entirely new lens kits.

Dual 5-Inch Displays and On-Set Assist Tools Built-In
Onboard monitoring is handled by a fold-out 5" HDR touchscreen with 1500 nits of brightness, as well as a second 5" touchscreen on the operator side. Together, they provide access to camera settings, status overlays, histograms, focus tools, and frame guides. These dual displays let DPs, DITs, and focus pullers work independently without adding external monitors. Dedicated assist functions and a focus puller interface improve efficiency on busy sets.

Reliable Live Streaming and Cloud-Based Post Workflows
With built-in support for RTMP and SRT protocols, the URSA Cine can stream directly over Ethernet, USB-C, or Wi-Fi. Connect to Blackmagic Cloud for real-time collaboration, or use 10G Ethernet for syncing dailies and proxy files. H.264 proxies can be recorded alongside 12-bit Blackmagic RAW masters, making it easy to start editing while high-resolution files upload in the background. This system supports efficient turnarounds without sacrificing quality.

Professional I/O With Industry-Standard Power and Control
The URSA Cine 12K LF includes 12G-SDI outputs, LEMO and Fischer ports for power and control, dual balanced 3-pin XLR inputs with phantom power, USB-C expansion, and multiple timecode and REF sync options. Use the 7-pin and 3-pin front connectors for lens motors and triggers, while the 24V 8-pin LEMO powers the camera. Additional 12V and 12G-SDI outputs enable redundant monitoring or onboard recorder connections, minimizing the need for breakout boxes.
