The Allen & Heath M-DL-AOUT is an 8-channel analog line output module for the DX32 modular expander, occupying one of the chassis's four slots. It delivers eight balanced XLR line outputs with relay protection, running at the system's 96 kHz sample rate. Like its input counterpart, it lives inside a DX32 stage-box chassis rather than a console I/O Port, extending outputs to wherever amplifiers, monitors or processors sit. For a dLive or Avantis rig that needs outputs at the stage or across a building, it is a core module of a custom I/O box.
The DX32 is an Allen & Heath expander chassis with four module bays that connects back to a dLive or Avantis system over DX Link or gigaACE. Instead of a fixed I/O count, it is populated with a chosen mix of analog and digital input and output modules to build exactly the local I/O a stage or room requires. Each module, including the M-DL-AOUT, is bus-powered from the chassis. This is a distinct host from the console's own I/O Port; the M-DL-AOUT is made specifically for the DX32, not for a MixRack port slot.
Each of the M-DL-AOUT's eight line outputs is relay-protected, meaning the outputs are muted by a physical relay during power-up and power-down so no thump or transient reaches the connected amplifiers and monitors. That protection matters in installs where equipment powers on and off on a schedule and no engineer is present to ride the system. The balanced XLR outputs run at 96 kHz to match the rest of the signal chain. Several M-DL-AOUT modules can fill a DX32 to create a high-count remote output rack.
The M-DL-AOUT is for engineers and integrators building custom stage or install output points around the DX32 for dLive and Avantis systems, particularly where amps, monitors or processors are distributed across a large stage or multiple rooms. It mixes freely with input and digital modules in the same chassis. Bus-powered from the DX32, it needs no separate supply, and its relay protection makes it well suited to unattended installs. When outputs need to reach out from the console, this module carries them.
