Allen & Heath warrants Allen & Heath branded hardware products and accessories contained in the original packaging against defects in materials for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original purchase by the end-user purchaser.
The Allen & Heath DT-20-X is a compact 2-input Dante interface that adds two mic or line inputs to an audio network from any location. As the X variant, it ships ready to run with an included 12V DC power supply and rubber feet for tabletop use. Its two XLR/TRS combo inputs are powered by dLive-grade preamps, giving portable and event setups the same capture quality as a full Allen & Heath console. For a broadcast, capture, or hire application that needs remote inputs without a rack, it is entirely self-contained. Everything needed to power and place it is in the box.
Each input uses a preamp taken from Allen & Heath's flagship dLive range, delivering clean, low-noise gain for microphones and line sources. Local gain control and switchable 48V phantom power let condenser microphones run directly at the remote point, and both can also be driven from the host mixer over the network. That remote control means an engineer never has to reach the box to adjust a distant source. Packing dLive preamp quality into a unit this small is what makes the DT-20-X a favorite for location work.
The DT-20-X presents as a standard Dante device and integrates with Dante-equipped Allen & Heath mixers and AHM processors as well as third-party Dante systems, with AES67 support for open interoperability. Its inputs can be patched to any channel on the network in software, carrying audio and clock over standard Ethernet. A microphone at a remote position can therefore appear on any console anywhere on the network. For portable rigs, that flexibility replaces heavy analog multicores with a single lightweight cable.
Where the M version is built for PoE installs, the DT-20-X includes its own 12V DC power supply and rubber feet, so it can sit on a table, cart, or riser and work immediately. It still accepts Power over Ethernet when a suitable switch is on hand, giving the operator flexibility on site. The rubber feet keep it planted on smooth surfaces during a session. For rental fleets and mobile engineers, this plug-and-play design turns adding two networked inputs into a matter of seconds.
The DT-20-X is ideal for portable and AV-hire setups, remote stage input points where PoE is unavailable, and broadcast or event capture. Drop it at a podium, an interview position, or a stage corner to feed a Dante network without long mic runs. Because it is self-powered and tabletop-ready, it fits fast-turnaround workflows where gear moves constantly. For engineers who need professional inputs anywhere, the DT-20-X delivers dLive-grade capture in a box that goes wherever the work does.
